Basketball Game Preview: Oconee County Warriors vs. Walnut Grove Warriors + Official Tickets

Oconee County will head out to challenge Walnut Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Oconee County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

On Tuesday, Oconee County was able to grind out a solid win over Towers, taking the game 59-49.

Oconee County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Mason Hall, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 17 points and eight boards, and Luke Bolding, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 17 points and five assists. What's more, Hall posted two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Hagan Barrow, who scored ten points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Oconee County was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-39, which was the final score in Walnut Grove's tilt against Lumpkin County on Saturday.

Walnut Grove now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Oconee County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Oconee County took a serious blow against Walnut Grove in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, falling 74-45. Can Oconee County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
