Baseball Recap: Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Has No Trouble Against Oakwood

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin barely beat Oakwood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils blew past the Comets 14-1 on Monday. Considering the Blue Devils have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

CHAZ DUBOIS was a standout: he scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was CRUZ DUBOIS, who scored four runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oakwood only posted an OBP of .158.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4. As for Oakwood, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will head out to face off against Cissna Park at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Timberwolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Oakwood, they will welcome Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Comets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
