Soccer Recap: Gautier Triumphs

While Gautier's victory against Picayune wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Gators never let the Maroon Tide get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. Gautier haven't had any issues with Picayune recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Gautier's one-goal win came courtesy of Aaron Villa, who's now up to nine this season.

Gautier's win bumped their record up to 8-2-3. As for Picayune, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gautier will challenge rival Long Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Picayune is set to take on their familiar foe Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
