Softball Recap: Metro Tech Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Metro Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Alhambra Lions 20-18. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Lions last Tuesday, they had to take a 10-7 defeat.

Mariah Price was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing three bases while going 5-for-5. Brianna Aispuro Avilez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Metro Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .548. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive games.

The win snapped Metro Tech's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-6 record. As for Alhambra, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Metro Tech wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-2 defeat against North on the 4th. As for Alhambra, they have also already played their next contest, a 23-2 loss against Willow Canyon on the 4th.
