Mitchell County is 8-2 against Miller County since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will take on the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Mitchell County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Miller County likes a good challenge.

Mitchell County's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 38-0 win over Pelham. That looming 38-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Miller County and Seminole County, and Seminole County kept the tradition alive. The Pirates took a hard 35-21 fall against the Indians last Friday. The matchup was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Pirates couldn't quite close it out.

Mitchell County's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Miller County, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mitchell County barely slipped by Miller County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
