Baseball Recap: Woodland Park Beats Palmer for Their Third Straight Win

While Woodland Park didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Palmer Terrors on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Gabe Marquez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Landon Bain, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Woodland Park's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Palmer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Woodland Park will look to defend their home field on the 10th against Ellicott at 3:00 p.m. As for Palmer, they will head out to face off against Sierra at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Stallions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.8 runs per game on average), something the Terrors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
