Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Squires vs. Southwood Knights

The Manchester Squires and the Southwood Knights will round out the year against one another at at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.

Manchester played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They snuck past Southwood with a 46-42 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Squires as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Manchester found their leader in sophomore Emma Walker, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards. The contest was Walker's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Sautter, who posted eight points.

Manchester's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Southwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
