Baseball Recap: Marion Black Knights vs. Gananda Central Blue Panthers

Marion had lost 15 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-12 to make it 16. They came up short against the Gananda Central Blue Panthers, falling 14-0. The Black Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Blue Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Gananda Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. The result was nothing new for Gananda Central, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Gananda Central's part, Jack Frick made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched.
