Douglas County dropped down to 12-9 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Heritage Eagles by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

As for Heritage, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 16th.

Heritage's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Becca Alvarez, who had 19 digs and three assists. Those 19 digs gave Alvarez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anneclaire Fieger, who had eight digs.

Coming up, Douglas County will square off against Village at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
