Softball Recap: Dacula Escapes with a Win

Dacula had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the Buford Wolves 6-5 on Thursday.

Tatiana Loera was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 while posting 1 home run, 3 runs, 2 RBIs, and 1 double. The two RBIs were her most since August 31st, when she brought in four vs. North Hall. The team also got some help from Karsyn Plaisance, who fired off 2 HR and 3 RBIs while going 2-for-3.

Dacula hit smart and finished the game with no strikeouts. They hadn't finished a game without any strikeouts since September 10th.

Dacula's record is currently 18-9. As for Buford, their loss ended a 17-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 21-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Dacula will square off against their in-conference opponent Seckinger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Buford is set to face off against their familiar foe Collins Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
