Adrian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Sherwood Marksmen 43-20. The Blackhawks are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight dating back to last season.

Sherwood's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Mueller, who threw for 228 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 42 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of Mueller's aerial production (110 yards to be exact) went to Ab Chaikin, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Adrian has already played their next contest, a 26-0 loss against Warsaw on the 5th. As for Sherwood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 22-18 defeat against Butler on the 5th.
