Baseball Recap: Montgomery Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Montgomery and Healdsburg meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Vikings walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Greyhounds. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Greyhounds back in April, they had to take a 7-1 defeat.

Montgomery pushed their record up to 12-13 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Healdsburg, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7.

Looking ahead, Montgomery will face off against Analy on Friday. Healdsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
