Basketball Game Preview: Bonham Warriors vs. Pittsburg Pirates

The Bonham Warriors will take on the Pittsburg Pirates at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-50, which was the final score in Bonham's tilt against Paris on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 793rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 220th).

Bonham's loss came about despite a quality game from Heath Brown, who went 7 for 12 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Brown also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brae Gorman, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Pittsburg lost to North Lamar at home by a 61-42 margin on Tuesday.

Pittsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Bonham, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.
