Volleyball Game Preview: Blue Valley Rams vs. Clifton-Clyde Eagles

Blue Valley hasn't had much luck against Clifton-Clyde recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Eagles at 9:00 a.m.

On Tuesday, Blue Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Washington County and fell 2-1.

Blue Valley couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Washington County a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 28-30, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Clifton-Clyde entered their tilt with Frankfort on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0.

Clifton-Clyde never let Frankfort on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-21.

Blue Valley better focus on containing Scout Skocny and Jordi Fahey as the pair were huge in Clifton-Clyde's win. Skocny had 20 digs and one assist, while Fahey had 13 assists and six digs. That's the most digs Skocny has posted since back in September.

Clifton-Clyde's win bumped their record up to 17-13. As for Blue Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 13-19.

Blue Valley couldn't quite get it done against Clifton-Clyde in their previous meeting last Tuesday as they fell 2-0. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
