Softball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clear Fork Colts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Scots of the 9-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Kate Clements made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Clear Fork, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Highland beat the Colts by a score of 8-7 on Thursday.
