Preview: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. Waterloo Vikings
Mineral Ridge has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Waterloo Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
On Tuesday, things could have been worse for Mineral Ridge, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-52 loss to McDonald. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mineral Ridge in their matchups with McDonald: they've now lost four in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Chase Moore, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Landon Bingham was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Waterloo waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Lowellville with points to spare, taking the game 51-36.
Mineral Ridge has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Waterloo, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.
Mineral Ridge came up short against Waterloo in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 54-43. Can Mineral Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
