Robbinsville had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Hayesville Yellowjackets 15-3. Considering the Black Knights have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Naomi Taylor was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Lexie Williams was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Anna Williams was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Robbinsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .560. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Robbinsville's record is now 12-3. As for Hayesville, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Robbinsville beat the Yellowjackets by a score of 12-1 later that day.
