Soccer Recap: Hebron Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Hebron was not quite Guyer's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the Guyer Wildcats. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hawks came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Wildcats are ranked 222nd).

Hebron's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 0-1-2 and their overall record down to 4-2-2. As for Guyer, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hebron will venture away from home to challenge Little Elm at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hebron's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Guyer, they will face off against Marcus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
