Denver East proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the George Washington Patriots 8-6. The victory was nothing new for the Angels as they're now sitting on three straight.

Denver East got a great performance from Kaeden Zirlin as he struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. That's the most strikeouts Zirlin has posted since back in March.
