Volleyball Recap: Madison West Takes a Loss

Madison West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indian Trail Hawks. The Regents were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in September of 2017.

Leading Indian Trail to victory were Taryn Gomez and Asrianna Bushman. Gomez had nine digs and three assists, while Bushman had four aces and four assists. That's the most digs Gomez has posted over her last six matches.

Madison West's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Indian Trail, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Coincidentally, Madison West and Indian Trail will both be playing Oregon the next time they take the court. The Hawks will head out to face the Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Regents will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
