Baseball Recap: Hall's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Hall dropped their record down to 10-8 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell 6-1 to the Newman Central Catholic Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Monday.

As for Newman Central Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.

For Newman Central Catholic's part, the team relied heavily on Chase Decker, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was Decker's first of the season. Ashton Miner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hall will face off against Sherrard at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
