Baseball Game Preview: Dilley Wolves vs. Crystal City Javelinas

The Dilley Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Crystal City Javelinas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dilley is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Cotulla hit Dilley with a seven-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves lost 12-2 to the Cowboys.

Dilley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paul Boswell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Boswell has hit this season. Gunner McClain was another, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Crystal City was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against Lytle, falling 16-2. The Javelinas haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Crystal City's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Dilley, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Dilley suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to Crystal City in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
