Basketball Recap: Sand Creek Takes a Loss

Sand Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Summerfield Bulldogs and fell 55-9. While losing is never fun, the Aggies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 549th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 148th).

Several Aggies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Payton Steinke, who posted five points.

Sand Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Summerfield, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-3.

Sand Creek will host Britton Deerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Summerfield, they will head out to square off against Bedford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
