Sonora and Villa Park are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Spartans at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sonora's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Villa Park's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Sonora came up short against La Habra and fell 5-1. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Highlanders: they've now lost four in a row.

Sonora saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Piwowar, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Villa Park also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Cypress by a score of 8-3. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Villa Park now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Sonora, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Sonora came out on top in a nail-biter against Villa Park in their previous meeting on April 10th, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
