West Springfield waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the McLean Highlanders by a score of 2-0. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Highlanders, too.

Andrea Lazo paced West Springfield's offense, picking up five kills. Lazo got some help from Anna Dierks and her 11 assists. Dierks was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

West Springfield's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for McLean, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

West Springfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Yorktown on the 27th. As for McLean, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Langley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
