1. East (Anchorage)
2015 finish: 26-0
Head coach: Paul Schoenborn

A fourth state title in a row and 86 straight wins make East an easy choice on top. Sophomore Daisy Page was incredible last season with a 19-0 record complete with 92 strikeouts and 14 walks in 91 innings of work. Her ERA was 1.08 and she made the All-State Tournament Team.

2015 finish: 19-12
Head coach: Joe White

All-Cook Inlet Conference returnees Leilani Blair and junior Danni Desjarlais headline a team that reached the large schools state final last season. Blair hit .353 as a left-side infielder with eight stolen bases. Desjarlais struck out 50 batters in 49 1/3 innings last season in the circle and Dakota Underwood was all-tournament at the state tournament.

The Mustangs went 0-2 in the state tournament last season but look to get back to the upper echelons. Tori Hooper will be a junior catcher and pitcher Juliette Montgomery will be a senior.

4. West (Anchorage)
2015 finish: 22-13

Losing the state title game last season and losing pitcher Lauren Syrup hurts. Nanea Tali was an All-State Tournament Team choice last season, while Lesley Bingham comes back after all-Cook Inlet honors.

5. Sitka
2015 finish: 19-9-1
Head coach: Jael McCarty

The small schools state champion blasted its way through the state tournament and comes back this season looking to also give the larger schools some hassle. Sitka has won five of the last six state titles in its division. Hailey Denkinger was an All-State Tournament Team choice last season.
