Volleyball Recap: Cedar Bluffs Takes a Loss

Cedar Bluffs was the 2-0 winner over Mead when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Cedar Bluffs sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 13-25, 25-21.

Kaylee Adams paced Cedar Bluffs' offense, picking up ten kills. Adams got some help from Taylor Hansen and her 25 assists. Kaelyn Wolfe controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Cedar Bluffs' defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Mead, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-13.

Cedar Bluffs has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against East Butler on the 13th. As for Mead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Lyons-Decatur Northeast on the 11th.
