Football Recap: Redbank Valley Piles Up the Points Against Bradford

After only six points in their last game, Redbank Valley made sure to put some points up on the board against Bradford on Friday. The Bulldogs blew past the Owls 55-7. That 48 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

A big part of Redbank Valley's victory came down to the chemistry between Braylon Wagner and his top target Jaxon Huffman. Wagner threw for 300 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt while Huffman picked up 170 receiving yards and one score. What's more, Wagner racked up 128.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Connor Colwell also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Redbank Valley's run defense was locked in: Bradford could only muster 1.6 yards per carry. While two picked up at least seven total tackles, Huffman stood above the rest. He picked up 170 receiving yards and one TD, and also threw for 45 yards and one touchdown. Redbank Valley's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.4.

Redbank Valley's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up 0.5 apiece ( Huffman, Brock George, Devon Weckerly, and Jace Huffman also recorded half a sack).

The win got Redbank Valley back to even at 3-3. As for Bradford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Redbank Valley will challenge Punxsutawney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Chucks have played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bradford, they will face off against Brockway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
