Sickles High School - Tampa, Fla.
Sara Vance, a senior opposite/outside hitter for Sickles High School in Tampa, Fla., has been named the MaxPreps/AVCA Florida High School volleyball Player of the Week.
Vance captured the weekly award by guiding the Gryphons to a 22-4 record to date, with the team winning 17 of its last 20 contests. Through seven games last week, the senior sparkplug smacked 44 kills, to average 6.3 kills per game.
In addition, Vance contributed six aces and three assists, along with seven digs (1.0 dpg).
Sickles is coached by Rob Brashear.
