Baseball Recap: Plattsburgh Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Plattsburgh had won three straight at home, but on Friday they bumped their record up to 5-3 to make it four. They came out on top against the Moriah Vikings by a score of 5-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-8 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Nate Baker, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Plattsburgh is undefeated when Baker posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise.

As for Moriah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Plattsburgh, they, and Peru.

On Moriah's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joe Pelkey, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Plattsburgh has already played their next match, a 7-6 defeat against Peru on the 5th. As for Moriah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-3 win against Northern Adirondack on the 5th.
