            Softball Recap: South Walton Seahawks vs. Choctawhatchee Indians        
        
		
        
        
            It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but South Walton ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Thursday. They came out on top against the Choctawhatchee Indians by a score of  9-6 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Seahawks also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2024.

 Zoey Kreinus and  Tatum Kreinus did most of the damage at the plate:  Zoey  went 2-for-5 with one  home run and five  RBI, while  Tatum  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-5. Those  four  hits gave  Tatum a new career-high.  Ava Rintala was another key player,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 They weren't the only one making solid contact: South Walton  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
The  victory  got South Walton back to even at 7-7. As for Choctawhatchee, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Walton will face off against Walton at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Choctawhatchee, they will challenge Navarre at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
