Basketball Game Preview: L.E.A.D. Academy Lions vs. Rocky Bayou Christian Knights

The L.E.A.D. Academy Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. L.E.A.D. Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Rocky Bayou Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

L.E.A.D. Academy is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They walked away with a 53-41 victory over Gulf Pointe Latin on Monday.

L.E.A.D. Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Holcomb, who posted 19 points and seven steals. That's the most steals Holcomb has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Palmer, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, Rocky Bayou Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 72-49 to Laurel Hill. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-17.

Rocky Bayou Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for L.E.A.D. Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-16 record this season.

L.E.A.D. Academy was taken down by Rocky Bayou Christian 67-35 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can L.E.A.D. Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
