Soccer Game Preview: Torres vs. Bullard

The Torres Toros will face off against the Bullard Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Torres' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Torres turned things around against Edison on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Tigers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The Toros had to tread lightly for part of the contest as Fabian Magdaleno and Carlos Ramirez were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Torres' goal came courtesy of Ray Saldana, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Bullard fell victim to Sanger and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Apaches. The Knights have struggled against the Apaches recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Bullard's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-2. Torres' draw gives them a new season record of 3-5-1.
