Volleyball Recap: Daeja Lewis Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Mica Mountain

Otay Ranch won the last time they faced Mica Mountain and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Thunderbolts.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Otay Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daeja Lewis, who had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Lewis has posted over her last four matches.

Otay Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Mica Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-3.

Otay Ranch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Point Loma on the 13th. As for Mica Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Poway on the 13th.
