Soccer Recap: Hazleton Area Takes a Loss

Hazleton Area managed to keep up with Wyoming Valley West until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Cougars came up short against the Spartans, falling 3-0. Hazleton Area haven't had much luck with Wyoming Valley West recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Hazleton Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-2. As for Wyoming Valley West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hazleton Area will challenge rival Pittston at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wyoming Valley West is set to square off against their familiar foe Wilkes-Barre at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
