Volleyball Recap: Mahtomedi Comes Up Short

If Mahtomedi was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Zephyrs fell just short of the Red Wing Wingers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Zephyrs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wingers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Mahtomedi's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Red Wing, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Mahtomedi has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Medford on the 13th. As for Red Wing, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Farmington on the 13th.
