Volleyball Recap: Stevens Takes a Loss

Stevens lost against Jefferson back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Raiders fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 3-2. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cavaliers 25-19 in the first set.

Stevens actually scored more points across those five sets (103-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-21, 25-23, 13-25, 15-9.

Stevens' defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Jefferson, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Stevens will square off against rival Rapid City Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Jefferson is set to face off against their familiar foe O'Gorman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
