Football Recap: Poth Falls Despite Big Games from Jacob Clark and Major Luna + How To Watch

After flying high against Falls City last Friday, Poth came back down to earth. The Pirates came up short against the Shiner Comanches on Friday, falling 41-19. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comanches apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Poth's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Major Luna, who threw for 246 yards and three TDs, and Jacob Clark, who picked up 127 receiving yards and one score.

Having lost for the first time this season, Poth fell to 2-1. As for Shiner, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Poth will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Karnes City at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Shiner, they will head out to challenge Industrial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
