Basketball Recap: Newton Homeschool Sets Scoring Season-High Against Non Varsity Opponent

Newton HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Non Varsity Opponent. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Cameron Fistler and Ephraim Oller certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Fistler went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points, while Oller dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Oller a new career-high in points.

Newton HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Newton HomeSchool has already played their next match (against Non Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Non Varsity Opponent didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-33 defeat against Winston Salem Christian Silver on the 14th.
