Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shawe Memorial). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Rising Sun Shiners 74-35. The Hilltoppers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Rising Sun's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Peelman, who posted 11 points.

Shawe Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.7 points. As for Rising Sun, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

Shawe Memorial and Rising Sun are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Shawe Memorial will challenge Trinity Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season. As for Rising Sun, they will face off against Oldenburg Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
