Basketball Game Preview: Central Davidson Spartans vs. Carson Cougars

The Central Davidson Spartans and the Carson Cougars will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Central Davidson is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Central Davidson saw some tournament action on Thursday. They walked away with a 54-46 win over Mount Pleasant.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Carson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past South Rowan, posting an 80-34 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 23 points or more this season.

Central Davidson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Carson, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
