Baseball Recap: Boonville Comes Up Short

Boonville and Heritage Hills squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Boonville had to settle for second. They fell 6-1 to the Patriots. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Boonville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Heritage Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Boonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage Hills, they will square off against Evansville Memorial at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 4, the Tigers 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
