Basketball Recap: MAST Community Charter Takes a Loss

MAST Community Charter lost against Delaware County Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The MAST Community Charter Panthers took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Delaware County Christian Knights. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Knights are ranked 109th).

Delaware County Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khamai Orange, who went 10 of 20 on his way to 24 points along with five assists and five boards. The match was Orange's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradford Berwick, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

MAST Community Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Delaware County Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. MAST Community Charter will face off against Valley Forge Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in MAST Community Charter's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Valley Forge Military Academy has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Delaware County Christian, they will challenge Bristol at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Delaware County Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Bristol likes a good challenge.
