Softball Recap: Mercedes Takes a Loss

Mercedes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Weslaco East Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one run.

Rhianna Sierra made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Mercedes' defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Weslaco East, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Mercedes has already played their next matchup (against Port Isabel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Weslaco East also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Churchill.
