California won the last time they faced Eldon and things went their way on Monday too. The California Pintos came out on top against the Eldon Mustangs by a score of 64-52. Given the Pintos' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Mustangs are ranked 291st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eldon's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenzi Ward, who on her way to 23 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Corin Davis, who to rack up 13 points and eight rebounds.

California is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Eldon and nudges their season record down to 8-16.
