Basketball Game Preview: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Roaring Fork Rams

Having just played yesterday, the Brush Beetdiggers will jump right back in to play the Roaring Fork Rams at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Brush put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Weld Central 83-45. The Beetdiggers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Roaring Fork lost to Regis Groff on the road by a 81-65 margin on Friday.

Roaring Fork's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2. As for Brush, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Brush was taken down by Roaring Fork 60-27 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Rams' Lucas Carballeira, who went 9-for-15 on his way to 21 points along with eight assists and four steals. Now that the Beetdiggers know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
