The Cascade Bruins will head out on the road to challenge the Sedro-Woolley Cubs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Cascade lost a close one when they played on Tuesday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Thursday was a bit more commanding. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 18-4 walloping at the hands of Stanwood. Cascade has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lauryn Thompson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Gehrig, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Sedro-Woolley put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Ferndale 21-1. Sedro-Woolley might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three contests by six runs or more this season.
Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Sedro-Woolley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Cascade might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Sedro-Woolley in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Cascade avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
