St. Ignace unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 67-33 loss at the hands of the Gaylord Blue Devils on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Despite the loss, St. Ignace had strong showings from Evan Arnold, who posted 12 points, and Chase Seeley, who earned 11 points.

St. Ignace has already played their next contest, a 62-52 defeat against Cheboygan on the 4th. As for Gaylord, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-38 victory against Midland on the 4th.
