Volleyball Recap: Southeast Career Tech Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Foothill

Southeast Career Tech faced Foothill in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Roadrunners fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Roadrunners in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost five in a row.

Mikaela Fellows paced Southeast Career Tech's offense, picking up 11 kills. Fellows got some help from Ashlyn Winans and her 11 assists. Winans was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Kiara Henderson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and three aces.

Southeast Career Tech now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Foothill, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Southeast Career Tech has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Moapa Valley on the 16th. As for Foothill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against El Dorado on the 16th.
