Softball Recap: Clinton-Massie Falcons vs. Fairfield Lions
Clinton-Massie took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Fairfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions on Friday, sneaking past 14-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since May 1, 2024.

Ava Crombie was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Clinton-Massie got a massive performance out of Kalli Jodrey, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Jodrey also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Karley Goodin was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.
